Kev’s Journey to Thailand- Inspiration, Connection & Giving Back

Earlier this year, Kev travelled to Thailand on a truly meaningful and inspiring journey. While part of the trip was spent soaking up ideas for new recipes to bring back to the pub, it was also about reconnecting with a cause that’s close to his heart — and catching up with old friends along the way. 🇹🇭

One of the most touching moments of Kev’s visit was returning to the Nongkhai Orphanage, a place he has supported for many years through ongoing donations. Spending time with the children and seeing firsthand how those contributions have helped was an emotional and humbling experience.

His trip was packed with colour, culture, and connection, including:

A sunrise prayer with Buddhist monks, embracing the calm and spiritual beauty of Thailand.
Exploring a vibrant Thai street market, bursting with the colours and aromas of fresh produce.
Cooking sessions with old friends, watching Sa Pom craft her famous boat noodles — and gathering inspiration for new dishes!

This incredible journey was a powerful reminder of the importance of community, culture, and giving back.

We’re excited to announce that this summer, we’ll be hosting a special fundraising event on Bank Holiday Sunday 24th August, to continue supporting the Nongkhai orphanage and raise even more to help the children thrive.

And of course, some delicious new Thai-inspired dishes will soon be appearing on our menu — direct from Kev’s time in the kitchens of Thailand!

More updates to come regarding the fundraiser and future events too — we can’t wait to share more with you.
