What’s Going On This Summer at The Pot & Glass?

Summer has officially arrived in Egglescliffe Village and we’ve got plenty happening over the next couple of months.

Whether you’re joining us for authentic Thai food, catching up with friends over a drink or enjoying our events, we’d love to welcome you.

Father’s Day – Sunday 21st June

Skip the socks and bring Dad for Thai food instead.

We’ll be serving our usual Sunday menu, packed with all your favourite dishes, alongside a great selection of drinks.

Charity Quiz Night Supporting the Great North Air Ambulance

Thursday 25th June, 7pm £5 per person, teams of maximum 6

Our ever-popular Charity Quiz Night returns, this time raising money for the fantastic Great North Air Ambulance Service.

Gather your team, put your general knowledge to the test and join us for an evening of fun, friendly competition and fundraising for an incredible cause.

Funky Soul Sunday

Sunday 26th July | 4pm – 7pm

Get ready for an afternoon of soul, funk and summer vibes with Stevie B.

Join us from 4pm to 7pm as we bring the sounds of Funky Soul Sunday to The Pot & Glass. Pair great music with authentic Thai food, cold drinks and our welcoming village atmosphere.

It’s the perfect way to round off a summer weekend.

Summer in Egglescliffe Village

Take the scenic route.

A stroll along the river, a wander through the village, then a pit stop for Thai food, cold drinks and a spot in the beer garden.

Not saying you should plan your walk around a visit to The Pot & Glass…

…but we’re also not saying you shouldn’t.

After all, it’s practically a local tradition.

What’s happening in May at the Pot & Glass, Egglescliffe Village

We have a couple of events for the diary this May at the Pot & Glass 🍻✨

Firstly, join us for our Bank Holiday Sunday Music Afternoon on Sunday 24th May from 2pm, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, in memory of Andrea Walker. It’s set to be a fantastic afternoon of live music and fundraising for an amazing cause. Book a table for food and enjoy the long weekend with us 🎶🤍

Then, on Thursday 28th May at 7pm, join us for our monthly Charity Quiz Night, this month supporting Heart Support, North Tees Area ❤️

Heart Support, North Tees Area is a local charity and not-for-profit voluntary organisation run by a committee of dedicated voluntary trustees with lived experience. They provide support for cardiac patients and those at risk of heart disease throughout the North Tees area.

Quiz entry is £5 per person with a maximum of 6 per team. Booking in for food guarantees your table.

April Charity Quiz

The next quiz night is nearly here and for April we’re raising funds for Maxi’s Mates Animal Rescue & Rehoming Centre 🐾 An incredible charity dedicated to rescuing, caring for and rehoming animals in need, as well as supporting their welfare every step of the way. We’re proud to support the amazing work they do every single day. 💛

We are currently renovating the Pot & Glass, Egglescliffe Village

Throughout March, we’re busy painting, reupholstering and enhancing the pub’s beautiful features to bring a fresh new lease of life to our wonderful village pub and Pot & Wok restaurant.

Our opening hours will be slightly adjusted during March while the work takes place. Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram for any updates to opening hours and to get a little sneak peek of the progress so far.

We can’t wait to show you the finished result! ✨

February Charity Quiz

The second quiz of the year will soon be here and for February we’re raising funds for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice. An incredible charity providing specialist care and support to babies and young children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as support for their families. We’re proud to support the amazing work they do every single day. 💛

Monthly Charity Pub Quiz – Starting January 2026 🎉

It’s been asked so many times… “Will you do a pub quiz?”
Well, for 2026, the answer is finally YES!

We’re excited to introduce our Monthly Charity Pub Quiz. Launching in January 2026, with each quiz supporting a different local charity that makes a real difference in our community.

We’re kicking things off by raising funds for the Great North Air Ambulance Service. An incredible charity that provides life-saving emergency care across our region. Their rapid response teams and specialist clinicians do so much for our area. We’re proud to support the vital work they carry out every day.

It’s hard to believe how quickly the time has flown since we opened our doors and began serving our signature Thai dishes in the heart of Egglescliffe Village. Over the past two years, our cosy, character-filled pub has become a place for friends, families, and locals to gather. Whether it’s for a midweek meal, a weekend celebration, or simply to unwind by the fire with a drink in hand.

We’re so proud of what we’ve built here, a warm and welcoming space where great food and good company come together. None of it would have been possible without our amazing customers, whose continued support means the world to us, and our incredible team, who work tirelessly to make every visit a special one.

From the laughter shared in our bar to the aromas from our Thai kitchen, every moment has been part of what makes The Pot & Wok at The Pot & Glass so unique. As we raise a glass to our second anniversary, we’re already looking forward to the years ahead, full of more good times, great food, and the same friendly atmosphere you’ve all come to know and love.
